Poverty is too comfortable in the United States, when people on public assistance have money to purchase lottery tickets.
Is there really true poverty in the United States? Most people in poverty, on SSI, public assistance, have cell phones, Internet, cable, these are hardly items that are necessary for activities of daily living.
Why don't you approve of "welfare queens" paying taxes?
Why should they be ineligible to get the winnings simply because they're on public assistance? How about taking them off public assistance if they win a huge amount?
How about deducting their accumulated years of public assistance from their payout?

I'd have no issue with it. And think of it, if they do win that big pay day, and they're smart with their money, they'd never have to be on assistance again.
No, actually, you don't know. You're making assumptions based on the fact that you simply have disdain towards people who are poor. I feel bad for you.
During the past 12 months, did you have such financial trouble as a result of your gambling that you had to get help with living expenses from family, friends or welfare?
Yes No

You're very welcome and have a nice day...
I don't have a gambling problem, sorry. I never play the lottery, never go to casinos, never play slots....oh wait, I went to the casino up north once two years ago w/$5 & left as soon as I ran out. Perhaps you're mistaking me with your own gambling problems?
The odds of winning the lottery are so low it's laughable.
You might as well take the dollar bill you were planning on using to buy a lottery ticket and instead wipe your asz with it. You're more likely to find a diamond in your rectum than you are to win the lottery.
People who waste their money buying lottery tickets sadden and disgust me. They're just throwing their money away, and the worst part about it is they're actually destructively feeding our monstrous, ever-expanding government.

I personally can't stand when you're in the gas station, and there is a huge line, and one attendant to ring everyone up, and the attendant is tied up dealing with someone cashing in all of their scratch off tickets. Especially during morning and afternoon drive times!

Just to think, this all began with those danged Bushphones.
GOP debunked: 'Obama phone' does not exist, program started in 2008 under Bush
But, I have known a few people in my lifetime, who, on public assistance did mow some lawns, worked on a few cars and did odd jobs to get some cash to buy cigarettes, beer, lottery tickets, diapers and other things.
