Also, there was nothing in "the realm of this discussion" that implied that it applied to singles only. Sociobiology does not apply to single people only.
I know but being single you obviously have a litlle different perspective. Unless of course you are in an open marriage.

I tend to get pickier when women realize they really just need to fornicate me into relationships.

Well, it wasn't like I was never single you know. I had my chance to make an idiot of myself just as young people today do.

I feel the same way about women who are players, when I don't have enough money; even though I would be less picky if all the other girls aren't trying to just use me for sex even if they have to lie to me for it.

Compared to bonobos sexual behavior (and feel free to google the details, they're really something) we are chaste.
That doesn't seem to hold true with our modern divorce rate, which, coincidentally is being initiated more by women now than by men in many cases.

I think what has happened is this. Alot of women have stopped taking crap. Cheat on your wife? Sure way to get divorced, and you would deserve it. Hit your wife? Divorce, and possibly prison time.

I think alot of women are learning they don't have to put up with certain things and are more willing to get a divorce.

Doesn't that involve more promiscuity rather than less promiscuity every time a woman gets divorced and is "hot to trot", that much more often?

divorce is completely compatible with serial monogamy.

It could involve that. However, what about when the man cheats on a woman, over and over? Isn't that promiscuity?

That is the difference between divorce and promiscuity. Divorce involves a wife and husband. Promiscuity involved more than one person to have sex with. Not to mention, if a person is in a marriage, then it having sex outside of that marriage would count as promiscuity, on the most dishonest level.
