That is the difference between divorce and promiscuity. Divorce involves a wife and husband. Promiscuity involved more than one person to have sex with. Not to mention, if a person is in a marriage, then it having sex outside of that marriage would count as promiscuity, on the most dishonest level.
Actually it would be adultery.
Promiscuity means being indiscriminate about partners, usually involving a large number.
Bonobos are promiscuous. They have sex as a way to say hi, make friends, cement alliances, make up after fights, and climb the social ladder, and don't limit themselves to the opposite sex.
The point was as said in my earlier post. The chance of divorce can be tough on kids. Way to many young people rush into marriage , only to find out the comparability is not workable. The result is or can be devastating. When children are part of the break up things get complicated fast. All this could be avoided if you knew more about your spouse. Not always, but why not get to know your pardoner well before marriage.?
divorce is completely compatible with serial monogamy.
Maybe, but it can lead to more promiscuity rather than less promiscuity when trying to find another guy who isn't lying about wanting a relationship instead of just sex.
It could involve that. However, what about when the man cheats on a woman, over and over? Isn't that promiscuity?
Is it wrong if a guy is promiscuous, if he is still willing to clamor for a relationship with his wife regardless of how often her girlfriends use sex on him? In modern times and modern contraceptive methods, it is no longer as bad for women either especially if they are still willing to clamor for a relationship with their husband.

That is what I meant. Adultery is basically being unfaithful via promiscuity.

No no no, no. A married person having an affair with one person is committing adultery, just as much as a married person who sleeps around with a lot of partners, but only the latter is promiscuous. Promiscuity is casual sex with a large number of partners. Adultery is unfaithfulness in marriage. While there is some overlap there, they are not the same things nor is promiscuity the only motivator or mode of adultery.
If you look at the models from that era you'll se they have thighs and other curves and do not resemble coat hangers we see on billboad today.
I am not advocating obesity here, don't get me wrong, but instead real curves and a little bit of "cushion" here and there. It's all in proportions.
It sounds like you're buying the revisionist history version of things. Read this:
