Repeatedly pounding someone's head into a concrete sidewalk is assault. In that situation, you have EVERY RIGHT to defend yourself using any means necessary from actions that could very easily end your life or result in great bodily injury.

If it's proven that what Zimmerman claimed is what happened, will your hate and bias melt away? Will you be satisfied that the shooting was justified?

I doubt it.

There will be riots after this verdict is read. It doesn't matter which way it goes. They'll be much worse if it's ruled a clean shoot, but either way, more people will get hurt and incalculable property damage will be caused, all because the media blew something up that didn't deserve much - if any - attention, outside of the local press.

This never should have been a national story. The only reason it became one is because it's an election year and the media's darling has done so much damage to an already ailing economy. Gotta get your attention away from the HORRIBLE job that the President has done, else you might reconsider voting for him! And just look how well it's worked...

GZ's story just does not add up. If he felt that TM was such a threat, why didn't he wait to let the police handle the situation?
Because he wanted to let the police know where he was to tell the police, didn't realize TM would have started beating on him.
BTW, if TM was so afraid of GZ, why didn't he call 911, he had a phone right in his hands!

How the hell can you liberals keep bothering to comment on this?! Thus far, youve all been wrong. Zimmerman's account has been accurate. What you should be doing is apologizing, just like the media should.
Only injury on Trayvon was gun shot and his knuckles. Its pretty clear he was the aggressor. Zimmerman had every right to defend his neighborhood after a string of burglaries and defend himself that night.

From how far away he was when he shot, to his injuries, to witness accounts to Trayvon's own character, you all have been wrong. And you have the audacity to keep up your nonsense. You called for this mans head before knowing a damn thing, and now the facts come out supporting his accounts so far, and you still call for his head.

It is time to admit you were wrong or just shut the hell up.

Note of caution. That poster has proven to be pretty much a racist. He/she will defend all things black no matter what the truth is. Look at him/her as if they are Al Sharpton, not worth the time and effort. I have up responding to him/her along time ago.

In this case, the State Attorney told the lead investigator not to arrest Zimmerman on manslaughter charges. The entire investigation, or lack of one, was botched up from the start. It was raining and nothing was used (like a tarp) to cover the grassy area where blood evidence might be found. However, the police do agree that Zimmerman should have stayed in his vehicle and waited instead of taking the law into his own hands.

However, since you are posting injustices committed by police departments, this man was beaten to death.

By the way, that's what someone looks like after he's gotten 2 black eyes and a broken nose in a beating, not this or this !!

Yeah, his doctor mustve been lying. Along with the police. Along with the witnesses.

Perhaps he shouldve just laid there until he was beaten to death.

Oh cool...let's post the picture of a man that was beaten to death by SIX(6) police officers as an example of what Zimmerman should have looked like...

Because all cases of somebody beaing beaten to death looks EXACTLY Thomas Kelly did....

Also, the black eyes that result from your nose being broken heal relatively quickly...and the healing process with humans vary from case case...I know, it's pretty hard to grasp.

Again, all of the assumptions are being based on what he is "telling" the dispatcher not what is truly happening.

Its like the person who calls the police saying that they see someone with a gun entering the neighbor's house. And the truth is that the neighbors gave their cleaning lady or cousin Joey the keys to housesit while they are out of town and that is who is entering the house. What is said by the person calling the police is not necessarily accurate or truthful.
OMG, now I heard everything. I knew somewhere down the line someone was coming with this statement. "What is said by the person calling the police is not necessarily accurate or truthful". Because of the fact they they had it on record that GZ said OK, he stopped following him, it now becomes, not truthful, REALLY! Well maybe GZ was not truthful and said he was following TM (but really wasn't, he just said that to make himself sound big and bad). So now what. GZ has all the injuries as prove that TM assaulted him - not guilty. Period.

For example, the shooting would have been avoided if Martin never got suspended from school, but he did. I don't see why any of those "what if" scenarios make a difference. The fact is that the confrontation happened and the only question is who started the physical encounter, or who escalated it.
There was a link to all of the reports and the 911 calls, but those were removed per Zimmerman's attorney. They were posted on the first threads about this case.
