Or Abercrombie & Fitch which had (I don't know if they still do) catalogs that were pornographic - you had to be 18 to buy them. Also, A&F recently featured two men kissing in an add.

Could it be possible that the point of putting that pic in a fashion magazine is that the company would like to sell their products to that particular demographic as well as others? Could it be that the point is just that simple?

Why would you object to the company wanting to sell its products to everyone?

Btw, with that home-schooling thing, it's important to learn the difference between the words "than" and "then".........they mean different things.

Or child porn, or teenage dating violence, or a multitude of other real travesties facing our children.

Probably just trying to sell that dress. You know the message, "If you wear this dress, you too can get kissed by a girl."

There are millions of homeschooled kids out there who are growing up to be barely literate adults who can't even fill out a job application. And a very high percentage of homeschooling parents do so because they want to indoctrinate their kids with bigotry and religious zeal.

There are many success stories (and I applaud them), but for every success story, I believe there are many failures.

I homeschooled two of my kids until they were in third and fourth grade but I came to the realization that they were not going to get an adequate education from me and I put them in public school.
Good for you for recognizing you just weren't capable of homeschooling your kids. Nothing for which to feel ashamed. Although your written sentences here seem fairly coherent, you certainly don't want your kids growing up illiterate. And that is why we probably shouldn't totally abolish the public schools. They are needed for those folks who truly aren't capable of educating their kids the way most Home School Parents can.

It is probably for the best in the long run not to home school your kids. I know many employers, including the one that I work for have a strict policy against hiring anyone that was home schooled with no attendance at either a legitimate public or private school. It took only a few incidents for my employer to realize that people that have been sheltered away from society their entire lives do not have what it takes to fit in with a large group of diverse people. The quality of most home school education also seems to be somewhat sketchy.

My, how...lacking in diversity your place of employment must be. All those public school drones, marching around, discriminating against those from a different background. Ah, well, not to worry. When the home schoolers soon become the majority, I doubt these free thinkers will retaliate with the same level of discrimination and closed mindedness. They tend to be a much more self-confident and tolerant bunch.

You just might want to start rereading the posts on this and other threads on these boards to find out who does the name calling and who merely voices opinions before you choke yourself, laughing over who is really the more intolerant.

Oh for f sakes. Every side here engages in name-calling, and you're seriously delusional if you think otherwise... or are the comments like "*******" and "liberalism is a mental disorder" terms of endearment in the conservatives' minds?
