Which would be...
  • The Taliban no longer controls Afghanistan
  • Several Taliban leaders, including Bin Laden are now dead
  • The Taliban has been scattered all over the Arab world, disorganized and leaderless without resources.
  • The United States is still actively pursuing the Taliban.
  • No acts of terror have been committed by the Taliban on US soil since 9/11

Clearly they pose a severe threat.
So this leaderless, disorganized group with no resources continues to wage war against the US troops somehow?? Is this really what you think?

If you let those people out of Gitmo they will, for the most part, go back to doing the same thing they were doing before they got captured.

Both the Bush administration and the Obama administration told us we were in Afghanistan to get Bib-Laden for the 911 attack. We got him. Mission accomplished. Lets bring our troops home. I really don't think it's our job to give these people democracy, they have to earn it on their own. Besides the Karzai Government doesn't look to democratic to me.

Afghan is the war the democrats wanted. They screamed for years about how we need to get out of Iraq and go fight the taliban. Lets see what they do. I agree it's not really our job to give them democracy but if we leave we're back to square one. Taliban will move right back into power and let the training begin. I guess we can still zoom drones around and blow em up though now. That is the preferred way to wage war by democrats, bomb em all and let God sort it out.

Thank you!

War against US troops, in Afghanistan. Where America, which is in North America is not.

The Taliban poses no threat to the American public or sovereign American territory.

America is here <-----Big Ocean, Lots of countries ------->Taliban is here

When Obama slaughters 6 million Jews, millions of Slavs, gays, the disabled and the Blacks then you can feel free to make such an ill-founded, absolutely stupid comment.

Let's see. He wants to be able to lock up his own people indefinitely, but let known combatants go? Sounds a lot like Hitler to me!

Like I said, when that actually happens and results in the death of millions of innocent people - then you are free to spout such lunacy. Until then, it remains just that: lunacy.
