Makes about as much difference in being curious on how many female representatives there are with big boobs.

I can name a few with big boobs. Can you name one republican that is openly gay?

That's lovely.

I still don't see the point of your question.

Good news...

I think it is cool that people are given opportunity and that their sexual orientation is not an issue

A lot of people are not aware that the mayors of two of the most important cities in the world - Paris, France and Berlin, German - are both openly gay people. Not to mention the Prime Minister of the country of Iceland, and the King of Cambodia.

When we see the achievements and contributions that LGBT people have made to society, I cannot understand why a few people still cling to those tired old notions that being gay is a mental disability or a threat to society. Sheesh.

I do not care if someone is gay or straight. Their ability to lead should never be based on their sexual orientation nor should their sexual orientation play a role on whether they win or lose an election.

I really hope whoever voted for them did so because they thought they were the ones who were qualified for the job, not because they are gay.

I think the point is they were elected irrespective of the fact that they were gay.

Why do they have to be "openly" gay? It is not my business or anyone else's what you do behind closed door so don't talk about it. It is irrelevant and as someone put it, being gay is not the qualification for the position.

Would the OP crow about Barney Frank and his prostitution ring and making policy decisions which helped to enrich his former lover working in FM?
