In the six weeks since midterm elections he bluntly called a shellacking for his party, Obama has signed bipartisan legislation to prevent a spike in income taxes, cut Social Security taxes for one year and extend long-term jobless benefits through the end of 2011.
Obama will soon sign a measure strengthening the safety of the nation's food supply. He also wrapped up a trade deal with South Korea. The Senate's ratification of the arms control treaty was Obama's top foreign policy priority of the postelection session of Congress, and a victory the administration ground out over the past few weeks by securing the votes of Republicans.
I'd hardly call adding a trillion dollars to the deficit, passing a treaty that should have been hammered down earlier, giving up on tax cuts for people making over a million dollars, waiting until courts had already all but abolished DADT to pass legislation, and waiting for the daily show to make a big deal about the 9/11 first responders to do anything about that major legislative victories.

In politics it is usually the destination and not the journey that matters in the long run.
yes, he did.
once he figured out how to compromise with the Republicans and not attempted to shove everything down their throats while yelling
"I'M THE PRESIDENT, I WON, YOU LOST, GET OVER IT"
Of course now the liberials are pizzed at him, but they are to stupid to matter anyway.
Do they have tax breaks in jail or does it mean something different there?
Billionaires got tax breaks. Madoff just got caught, and technically, he's still got a lot of that money stashed away somewhere. Hell his personal secretary has two multimillion dollar houses, and she's going to get off for her testimony.
Speaks to Obama's and the dems political nature and leadership, to delay 911 legislation though the Dems controlled both houses and could have accomplished this a year ago. Thrilling victories when 2 years in, Obama hopes to meet with business leaders to figure out how to turn the economy around. Pass a budget, no way. Promise to focus on the economy and jobs, yes he met that promise as he did his best to focus on how to slow job growth and the economy in one fell swoop.
Only his rabid supporters and the Nobel Peace Surprise Committee could see this as a plus for Obama. The dems and Obama fiddled while America crumbled. consistent with Obama not meeting with oil company leaders for months after the spill occurred. A day late and a dollar short Obama lap dogs and the media sanitize his incompetence.

Um, learn the difference between "to" and "too" before you play the "stupid" card.
