Still totally braindead.

You will pay Texas landowners royalties on mineral leases, existing and new, to extract one ounce of oil from Texas lands.

Then you will pay the Texas based oil companies to refine it for you.

And the oil imported from foreign countries will still get refined into gasoline in Texas. Either way you slice it you will be paying Texans to have oil and gasoline. Natural gas too.

Got it yet? Or would you like to keep indulging your mental masturbation farce of "the oil belongs to me and I will take it if you don't let me have it"?

Starting to smell like troll scat in this here thread.

What you think and what is law are two totally different realities.

Quote:
In the United States, oil and gas rights to a particular parcel may be owned by private individuals, corporations, Indian tribes, or by local, state, or federal governments. Oil and gas rights extend vertically downward from the property line. Unless explicitly separated by a deed, oil and gas rights are owned by the surface landowner. Once severed from surface ownership, oil and gas rights may be bought, sold, or transferred, like other real estate property.
Oil and gas law in the United States

It's fun reading your ludicrous fantasies, please continue posting more of them...

Agreed. But those companies are headquartered and have heavy capital investment in Texas. How do we think that will play out.

They are not headquartered in the US. They have US subsidiaries.
They are foreign corporations by law.

Just think of all the worthless politicians that have been from that state, and I include LBJ in the group.
Don't forget Lloyd Bentsen and Henry Cisneros.

Shell and BP have their U.S. headquarters in Houston, TX. I'm not trying to split hairs with you as I believe we are both on the same page with this issue. I am only pointing out that in this hypothetical secession scenario those companies would keep their headquarters in Houston and become corporations in the ROT. That's all.

Yes we do agree and are on the same page.

And to think this is the very mindset the US has towards the ME.
Invade the country because we have a right to that oil.

Iraq backfired in that after all was said and done China waltzed in and signed contracts.
