Why is the "racist" card pulled every time someone tells the President "No thanks" ?

Don't you know? They have to blame it on something or someone else.

Maybe those drivers saw it for what it was and decided they weren't going to play the game.
Or maybe they were "playing the game", and it was their version of what the Dixie Chicks did to Bush.

The Dixie Chicks did more damage to themselves in the long run because of what one of them did in public.
And what the Dixie Chicks did should not be compared to politely turning down an invitation.

They must be very busy people!
That is five intelligent people in the US. Congratulations! Each have more intelligence and common sense than the Obama voters.

Really classy.

I don't give a fk who he is or how much you hate him -- when the duly elected President of the United States invites you to the White House, you bend over backwards to accept the invitation.

Why?
When did seeing a President become mandatory?

As was stated previously, the invite is in the middle of the Cup chase (like playoffs in other sports). Perhaps a calendar should be donated to the WH so they can see when conflict with dates would occur.

Just like moving his "big" 9/7 speech to 9/8. He might as well give it on 9/5, no one will be watching anyway, he's repeated the same stuff over and over, and people are tuning him out.

So the above post must have been written by a right-leaning person.
Thanks for clarifying.
I agree. It bugs me that so many posts are demeaning a group of people (NASCAR fans) probably without knowing a single one. Why are people so tribal? I personally do not like NASCAR, I find it boring and I'm not interested in those types of cars. But I don't feel like insulting the people who like it. Is there really a need for the stereotypes? Is it just because some posters assume NASCAR fans will not have their (poster's) political/cultural views, so the fans should be demeaned?

Fans at NASCAR races are just people out having some fun. What's wrong with that?

As for the drivers who are not showing up to meet President Obama, I think the issue is much ado about nothing.
