If I were one of the five "I believe it is four now, Kurt Busch is attending", my response to the media asking would be ............"I am sure the President has more important things to do than "honor" a bunch of redneck race car drivers from a year ago!" Could it possibly be politics on the Presidents part?

He is trying for the NASCAR vote! That is all it is pandering at its shadiest!
President Barack Obama will honor NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson and the 11 other Chase drivers from last year in a White House ceremony on Wednesday – but nearly half of the 2010 playoff contenders won't be there.
NASCAR said Thursday that five drivers – Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart – will not be attending the White House visit due to "schedule conflicts."
They must be very busy people!
Good for them for standing on principle and refusing to be used as a propaganda tool by the President.
Typical, liberals racing to lay down the race card...pun intended
The race card is a good substitute tool for intellectually challenged Liberals. This isn't a race issue, these guys simply don't care for Obama's attempt to use them to gain NASCAR votes. Why else has Obama only now tried to honor a NASCAR driver? Anyhow, although I'm not a big NASCAR fan, I applaud these drivers!
