Seeing a man in 2011 America pretend to rob a Bank so that he would be arrested and sent to prison becauseit is the only way that he could get treatment for a illness he had just contracted should ring bells to EVERYONE no matter what party ypou support, in America.
To realise that you will get much better health care if you are in Prison than if you are a law abiding Citizen is soooo wrong on soooo many levels.
Was it really criminal what the guy did or is it more criminal that he had to do it?
This is now just one of an increasing number of tragic stories in today's America because of greed and corruption in high places.
Anyone think this is where America should be heading??????

Along with flat screen televisions, cable, weight rooms, three squares, conjugal visits and anything else that might please the criminal rights advocates. IS it any wonder that our prison system doesn't intimidate anyone coming into this country illegally?

It's club FED, not club med.

Not sure if you have actually been in a American Prison?
I am NOT saying that criminals in Prisons should be brought down to the position of millions of Americans with NO health cover BUT that Law abiding American Citizens should be brought up to the standards of Criminals and get good health care.
Sorry i forgot that to do something positive for everyday Americans must be a negative.

they will pick the money off the magic money tree, of course.

most of us are weighed down with the reality of our lives. i have ZERO sympathy for a person who thought it would be better to endanger other people so he can get something for nothing......

that is one lousy plan in my book.

So you think Americans like the criminals in our prison system deserve FREE healthcare because... money grows on trees?? I think it is sad that we have to pay our criminals for their healthcare and I think it is even more sad that someone thinks that others shouldn't have to pay either because criminals don't have to... we all know money grows on trees when you steal it from others...

this post is the problem with the entitlement mentality that has been carefully nurtured for decades in this country. we think that just because america is so successful that we should be able to provide for everyone, and that is just not the case. at some point in time all this spending is unsustainable and will only result in the bankruptcy of this country. remember the soviet union? well thats all you can do because they went BANKRUPT because of all the social spending they did, and because of the lack of incentive for people to make a better life for themselves. we are on that road right now, and we need to get off it and get back on the road to prosperity.
