To realise that you will get much better health care if you are in Prison than if you are a law abiding Citizen is soooo wrong on soooo many levels.
Was it really criminal what the guy did or is it more criminal that he had to do it?
This is now just one of an increasing number of tragic stories in today's America because of greed and corruption in high places.
Anyone think this is where America should be heading??????
The greater crime is without a doubt that this man had to do what he did in order to obtain healthcare for his condition. It is a sad commentary on a very immoral nation that allow people to suffer because necessities are made into commodities.

Honestly...I have no idea why you guys keep harping on this nonsense. If you think government takeover would make things cheaper you're either incredibly naive or dumb. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and just say you don't know better.

they dont know better...or they are just that dumb

we SPEND (in ACTUAL COSTS to the PROVIDERS(not insurance) over 850 BILLION FEDERAL dollars(about 540 billion medicare and 320 billion medicaide)(plus what the states kick in for medicaid) to cover about 70-75 million people (22% of our population)(about 40 million seniors(medicare) and 30-35 million poor(medicaid))(and a good portion of medicaid ggoes to seniors for nursing care)...that means to cover the full 320 million people in the usa would cost between 3.4 to 4.2 trillion (most estimates are a biger window of 2.5 to 5 trillion) A YEAR....our ENTIRE federal REVENUE is 2.1 trillion

liberals only answer to how to pay for it...tax the rich

BUT....you could tax the rich at 100% and you would bring in less than 1 trillion (about 900 billion)....

liberals just dont get it

Considering that All the nations that have a Govt funded health care system do pay less for it and it works extremely well for EVERY Citizen than the United States current health Fiasco, seems to make them smart and the people clinging on for dear life to the American health service ..... ermmmm.... either blind or stupid or BOTH.
The USA is the Only industrialized Nation that has this huge debate about health care....... The other Countries do not...why?.... because their Govt. systems work and is NOT a issue but here in the USA it absolutely is a issue as it is expensive and fails millions of Americans....... You should feel sooooo proud to support and defend something that is a COMPLETE Failure..... Now that is a wise choice......... NOT!

I have posted on here numerous times how the NHS is funded in the UK with a small tax.... it is far less than premiums payed here and ..NO co-pay. By having a NHS... if anyone wants a private health plan...it is much much much cheaper than any plan in the USA because the Insurance companies don't have the monopoly on health care and compete against the Govt plan...you can, in fact, have use of the NHS and get private health plans for less than just getting a insurance health plan in the USA.

That must be why Nurses have been leaving the American Health System for quite a few years now...... NEVER met a rich Nurse yet here.

Sorry to tell you but you couldn't possibly lower your health care standards any more than they are already for MILLIONS of Americans who cannot afford to pay the high premiums for health care here. How much lower can standards go than..... NO HEALTH COVER? To go see a Doctor now in America often means Long waiting times and low quality health care in many cases......
