Lots of guys want kids, but just like women, they would like to wait until they're ready.
Well anybody my age with common sense would know that there's a lot of more cons than pros in parenthood. Half of men are getting fixed. But sometimes recanalizations occur as well as an accidental pregnancy. Which is why men should have a say in the abortion decision. After all, it was an accident resulting from a failed vasectomy.

That's a very depressing outlook. I think I'll hold onto my optimistic view of the miracle of life, for now.
Life isn't always completely equitable. The guy could easily have prevented the pregnancy even if he couldn't prevent the outcome of the pregnancy should it not suit his expectant results. If he didn't want to create a child, he shouldn't be having unprotected sex. Should the woman not want the child, she can abort without question from the man, which doesn't seem fair, but then, he doesn't have to disrupt his life for 9 mos and shove a bowling ball out of his body at the end of the 9 mos, nor does he have to have all the stretch marks, morning sickness, amnio-stuff, possible pregnancy caused health issues etc... which is why he doesn't get to choose abort or not abort. Now, should the woman decide on not keeping the child after it is born, then the man rightfully gets a say in that outcome and can assume complete resonsibility as he sees fit. Should she decide to keep the baby and the guy doesn't want it....well go back to sentence one....he should have prevented it! That should cover it pretty well.
So how about a compromise? Instead of 18 years of child support, maybe 1-5? As it is now, its way disproportionate.
