I love that you think the residency requirement was drafted as some sort of legal trap for mothers under the age of 19, and not to address American citizens who spend the majority of their adult life abroad. The provision you're referring to is about Americans living abroad, not those merely visiting a foreign country.
That is how I have always interpreted that law as well. It could be a 50 year old birth father who is the US citizen. The law would still have applied to him.

And at one point a majority of Americans believed the lies told Republicans and dishonestly implied by members of the Bush administration that Saddam Hussein was responsible for 9/11, but that doesn't change factual history.

Republican presidential hopeful, Rep. Michelle Bachmann admitted today to George Stephanopolous that the copy of Obama's birth certificate that he showed her should settle the question....it was EXACTLY what SHE said should prove where someone was born.

I'm not the one arguing against the Black newspaper publishers' belief that Obama was born outside the U.S. You are.

You may be right on this question of the law at the time. I'll concede - it is possible that a teenage mother might fall through this legal loophole that was in place at the time.
May be? No. That was the law at the time of Obama's birth.

I've asked you this question several times, but never gotten anywhere close to a decent answer. Since you seem to believe that Obama was born in Kenya, please tell us exactly how you believe all this happened. When did Ann Dunham leave Hawaii, her family and friends, for Kenya?
No one definitively said it was Kenya. Keep in mind that the only known and verifiable (by multiple sources) location of Ann Dunham/Obama closest to the time of Obama's birth was Seattle, not Hawaii.

Hmmm... how does that tie in with the Black newspaper publishers who believe the same thing?
