If it is a "typo error" then is should be corrected, no? After all, it's an official document. It's pretty sloppy to just let it go.
If Obama's case is an exception, then it's no wonder there are so many questions about his birth records. Maybe they all have typos in them, maybe his college records as well, so best not to show any of them.
It's not an oversight that Obama hasn't produced the certificate. I don't doubt that he has one. It's intentional that he hasn't brought it out. Well, maybe not. He's been really very busy, what with all the parties, the golfing, the vacations...basketball picks take time, too, and they have a hard deadline, after all.
There is no doubt that he keeps all these things as secret as he can since he does like the split among the people.

Yes, it seems that "The Donald" who he knows how to settle our deficit problems, and he does deal in huge amounts of money all the time is ready to join the fold of the birthers. I would think that if he intends to spend up to $600 million of his own money in a run for the Presidency he must not really fear any libs who will try to run him down for being a birther and a racist. He will not decide whether to run for the Republican nomination before June but he has intimated that he may run as an independent. With that pile of money Obama will need at least $1 billion. That kind of number doesn't bother Obama though.

ike may have made public his birth certificate before taking office but..... that certificate was issued to him in his 60's based on the testimony of his brother ( who was 4 at the time ike was born ). before that there was no record of ike's birth.
besides that i can find no evidence that any presidential candidate has shown a birth certificate while campaigning or any president while in office.
"those guys" have never said anything about the SS# prefix. just a simple matter of doing your own research then applying occam's razor. massive government conspiracy or single slip of a finger 30+ years ago. you make the call.

No, no possibility of that exists. You wouldn't get a U.S birth certificate if that was the case. Not to mention how insanely deep the conspiracy theory would have to go for this not to be found out. This is utter bats*** craziness.

for this scenario to work calls for a considerable amount of corruption and/or incompetence on the part of both the hawaiian department of health and US customs agents. ( not to mention the fact that to date there is no evidence of stanley ann dunham leaving this country before obama was born ).
