Nah, just more riff-raff making areas worse, and it’ll continue to happen.

that's terrible. if ANYONE is dumped on the street like garbage, that should be appalling, but the fact it ISNT shocking to a community is even more disturbing if you take some quiet time alone and think about how its a second rate news story. that is someones wife or girlfriend, mother maybe, or daughter.....

nameless. not even an approximate age given.

and it will fade into obscurity with maybe a follow-up 15 second report on the news once her identity has been verified.

no one will say there is a culture of inner city violence and that it doesnt matter what you do, some people are just damaged mentally and this is how they live and solve problems - with impulsive violence. and its not NEW - its been that way in larger cities for over 100 years. the difference is that we glorify it with archetypes like Capone, etc., but even identifying it NOW is borderline racist or whatever.

edit - related to the story erie linked to - of course I do not know the backstory for this woman found dead, but very likely she is just that - a victim of a moment of impulsive gun use/violence, with a history of disfunctional relationships she was not able to shake or rectify.

Looks like it happened again. I wanted to post this as a public service as we clearly are seeing more people just being shot for driving. Scary stuff out there. This woman was shot dead in Rostraver. The shooter just proceeded to his destination as if nothing happened. Be careful driving and just pull over if you encounter one of these types. Thankfully they caught him, but someone died due to his selfish act. A productive member of society gone forever. Shame, but our new norm.

The Pittsburgh metro just has widespread violent crime nowadays. This is more widespread than a lot of other metros. The random acts of violence in this metro in the suburbs and exburbs is quite disturbing.

Are there any other cities where there is a lot of violent crime in the suburbs and exburbs? It’s almost like Pittsburgh is becoming Detroit turned inside out.

Glad to see you finally take notice. The first step in fixing a problem is by recognizing it…unfortunately, and as I predicted, it’s gotten worse and will continue to do so…although, last I read there were 3 social workers to assist first responders, so the area has that going for it.
