I live next door in NM but am in PHX regularly for business and family. I stay in Peoria, Mesa, PHX, Scottsdale - just depends on what part of the metro I need to be closest to on any particular trip. My niece lives in Paradise Valley, cousins are in Tempe and Mesa. On a typical biz day, I'll hit central PHX, Mesa, Scottsdale, far N PHX, Tempe, Peoria and Avondale. I like all those areas for different reasons. I voted Gilbert as my least liked city. I find it unfriendly in a lot of ways compared to the rest of the metro. And I don't agree with much of Gilbert politics. Doesn't make it a bad place for others, though.
