Always found it ironic how Philadelphia has some of the best health facilities in the country and yet cases like this still happen regularly. These particular cases could have been easily avoided if mental health wasn't so taboo and taken seriously.

What’s the cause of the lower NE going down the dumps? My guess was an influx of displaced Kensington residents but that can’t be the sole reason.

These numbers often fluctuate so take it with a grain of salt but homicides are currently down 18% year to date compared to last year. It’s obviously coming off of a huge number and like I said these numbers can change quickly but I figured I’d post something positive in this thread.

That's why I hate looking at homicide totals for cities. Hypothetically, 50 people could be shot within a week with only 2 of them fatal- that looks good in the homicide report but doesn't paint an accurate picture on safety.

Those convicted of attempted murder should get as much time as those convicted of murder. Why do they get a break for failing?
