Today’s Question:

Do you have any tips and hints to help me (and anyone else buying a car) get a good deal on my next car?
1. Research, research research.
2. Get pre approved and get your financing in order.
3. Contact several dealers in person or via the internet.
4. Consider CPO (Certified Pre owned cars.
5. Don't pay MSRP.
6. Be prepared to walk if the deal feels uncomfortable.
7. Don't let them bully you.
8. Be wary of dealer add ons that are pricey.

Lots of infer on CD's Automotive forum, some good, some bad.

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever visited a prison (either historical or working)?
Yep, Yuma Territorial Prison in Yuma, AZ.

Bonus Question:

Yes or no (or more, if you wish!)…

Do you like avocados?
Ya, in salads and guacamole.

Can you swim more than 100 yards without resting/stopping?
Never could do that on my best day.

Are you a good whistler?
Ahh, no.

Will you be paying a bill today?
Just put one in the mailbox, didn't notice if it was one of ours or the MIL's.

Do you recycle trash whenever possible?
You betcha.

Just for fun:

Are you older or younger than the “Ballad of Davy Crockett”?
Much older.

Today’s Question:

Do you have any tips and hints to help me (and anyone else buying a car) get a good deal on my next car? By now I think you have a lot of good hints. For ourselves, what's important is the monthly fixture, so we make it known up front how much we can afford for payments. We end up paying longer but it's our only feasible plan.

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever visited a prison (either historical or working)? Yes, Alcatraz in San Francisco.

Bonus Question:

Yes or no (or more, if you wish!)…

Do you like avocados? Not really.

Can you swim more than 100 yards without resting/stopping? Nope.

Are you a good whistler? No, and I wish I was.

Will you be paying a bill today? Nope.

Do you recycle trash whenever possible? Yes!

Just for fun:

Are you older or younger than the “Ballad of Davy Crockett”? LOL!!!!!! Well, I was a toddler.

Good luck on your "car search", Kobbler. Let us know what you pick.

See motormaker's list above. That's about the best advice you're going to get!

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever visited a prison (either historical or working)? I've never visited a prison. In a previous job I had many years ago it was part of my job description to do assessments of some inmates in the county jail. However, I quit that job before I ever had to do any of that...lol.

Can you swim more than 100 yards without resting/stopping? No

Will you be paying a bill today? I'll be paying the man who is busy at this very moment removing upper cabinets from my kitchen.

Today’s Question:

Do you have any tips and hints to help me (and anyone else buying a car) get a good deal on my next car?
Don't buy new, they devalue too much.

Extra Credit Question:

Have you ever visited a prison (either historical or working)?Yes

Bonus Question:

Yes or no (or more, if you wish!)…

Do you like avocados?Yes

Can you swim more than 100 yards without resting/stopping? Only if there's a swift current to carry me along.

Are you a good whistler?

Will you be paying a bill today? Nope

Do you recycle trash whenever possible?Nope, with an exception for an occasional can or bottle if facilities exist. Here in Las Vegas, it is kind of pointless to separate and recycle. Even though its picked up in two different trash trucks, it is all taken to the transfer station dumped on the ground, intermingled with each other, crush with dozers and compacters, then taken somewhere else for sorting. Big waste of time and my money.

Just for fun:

Are you older or younger than the “Ballad of Davy Crockett”? I am Davy Crockett
