Things have changed so much with all of the new rules, deadlines and now all of this.
I don't think there's hardly any questions I can help too much with, but I'll try the best I can.
Maybe everyone else can relay their experience's and we can all try to help each other
Ooo! I got an idea!!!!!!!
You guys each chip in some cash each week to pay me and I'll become an unofficial NCESC rep for City-Data, and I can pick up where jdljr left off! And if I don't have an answer to a question...eh, I'll just make something up that sounds good. I require at least $40K a year...and you need to pay for my health insurance...but don't worry, once you split that up amongst all of you...it should only come to a couple thousand from each of you a year (when you think about it...its not alot of money...it's like pennies an hour really).
Whaddaya all say? I think it's a dynamite idea!
P.S. - Oh and I require a company car, preferably a new Expedition...with a AMEX card so I can pay for gas.

I'm fairly certain your suffering from "Unemployment Hysteria" lol!
I can throw a couple pennies your way if and only if I get a check next week
Also, I may be able to provide you with my broken down mountain bike
What's health insurance, I think I had that once upon a time???
Please tell me you
haven't restorted to selling your "youngest" child?
Anyway,
if we all chipped in to pay you, maybe you could just bill us and or deduct it from our state taxes..?
Of course we could sign a waiver and then you'd never get paid......
that actually sounds better anyway, ha!
That's the funny thing- ESC went back, per my online payment history, and applied a $53 payment to the waiting week for year 2 as part of the deposit I received today. That's the only trace of "where" some of the funds originated from online that I can find at this point. I will post a follow-up when I have some definitive answers. I expected more people to post on this matter. So far, I don't know anyone else who received such a large sum of money today via direct deposit.
I honestly think there are MANY that have no clue this is going on!
wait til Monday or Tuesday......oh myyyyyyy
After 1.5 years of UI, I am finnally off the gov't dole. I am more fortunate than most as I have famiy in the Western US, and an empty house in the mountains of Wyo. I did take a big pay cut to do this and the wife is still in NC wrapping up the house(trying to sell and if no sale we will rent the place). It has not been easy this 1.5 years but keeping faith that I am not in charge and continued prayers from my church family helped us thru this transition. Good Luck to all still looking.

this is why jdljr had to call it a day. he probably saw he'd be answering 5x the questions as before. just when he thought the whole matter was winding down.
the direct deposit i got is confirmed as from ESC/UI. but there is no listing of it on the esc site under payment history. so, thats a letter asking for repayment of $231 for 11 weeks, a letter asking for repayment of $132 for 12 weeks. and a deposit of $160. i've looked at it from every way i can think, and the $231 letter makes no sense.
i made 1 dollar amount and 1 only last year, and i made 1 dollar and 1 only this year. and that difference is $11/week.

Congrats!
Hope you enjoy your travels out west!
Many blessings and goodluck to you
I know my timing will seem coincidental to recent developments regarding folks' claims, however effective immediately I will no longer be monitoring and answering questions on this or any other Unemployment Insurance thread. Sometimes the time is right to wrap things up and move on, and this is that time for me on the Unemployment Insurance subject. For 14 months I've answered questions here on my own time in the evenings and weekends (in addition to 8 hours per day at the office) and provided a TON of information. But the office is where I wish to leave the subject at the end of the 8 hour day, so from this point forward any question or need regarding Unemployment Insurance should be directed to your local office or the Remote Service Center.
I wish each of you the best of luck!
Thank you for your help and knowledge. For your kindness I pray you will be blessed in your life; as you have helped many in our time of need.
It takes a just person to give when no gain can be had. Take care.
