JDLJR

can u clarify one thing for me

To Quickly Recap---

Started EU in 01/2009
got 26 weeks, Tier 1 got the max, tier 2, got the max
i started EB in late Dec 2009 for a few weeks
and then i filed a new benefit year in Mid Jan 2010
Got 13 weeks in new year
do NOT qualify for any extensions in this 2nd benefit year

OK DOKIE!!!

I assume that congress will indeed finalize all for the bill and that all extensions will stay in place til the end of 2010

I also expect that i will qualify for TIER 3 and TIER 4 max (based on that i did on the other 2 tiers) and do a pull forward on those

MY QUESTION IS
those weeks of EB i pulled in late Dec/Early Jan

Will those be DEDUCTED from the weeks of Tier 3 I can draw???
I wouldnt think so, (since i dont believe EB can be pulled forward and thus I wouldnt get them back after tier 4) BUTTTTTTT I wanted to ask so i can judge appropriately

rsvp

I would call your local office and ask them... if the rep cannot help, ask for a superviser! Get names and write them down. If you get no answer, call the Raleigh line (be prepared for a LONGGGG wait) and again, get names. That way, if you DO speak to someone who can give u straight answers---- you can 1. ask for them next time and 2. use them as a reference if you have to speak to another (IE well last time Mr. Ted Smith told me....)

Maybe?? if they did indeed do only a batch (not all the claims) Maybe? you will be done next ? Not clear on that, just guessing based on what others have been saying...

i wouldn't wait for another batch if i were you. looks like they need to do it manually. last week when i went to the local office the rep told me that "benefits exhausted" message can come from the manual codes on your case.
you could have code "15" or "16" on your case that prevents it from going through. They need to change it to code "1". Tell them that. may be it'll help

I have done all that. I have talked to my local office. I have asked for supervisors. I am either told they are busy or out of the office. I have called both the claims specialist line and the Raleigh number. They are all telling me I just have to wait. I posted the question..."Anyone else"s claim still say beneftis exhausted?"...because so many were saying theirs had changed. I am just wondering is anybody still waiting or is it just me. I can not see wasting another hour on the phone to be told to just wait. This is so frustrating!!!!!!

I found out yesterday that the one week of EB (according to the paperwork I received) I drew in November is now listed as 1 week of tier three. I do not think that is how it is supposed to be though. I think they are two seperate programs. EUC is federal and EB is state. Jdljr will have more information for you I am sure.

Yes I was under impression that if you Drew EB but then switched over to TIER 3--- that those EB weeks would count as Tier 3 and u would get those EB weeks back after Tier 3 and 4

BUTTTTTT since EB doesnt pull forward from an old year (if u DONT qualify for extension in the 2nd year, like me)
i would assume they dont do that?? because then u would lose tier 3 weeks and would NOT get them back after tier 3 and 4 because u dont qualify

i am really hoping that JDLJR can clarify for me too

I think i had 4 or 5 weeks of EB and im hoping that i dont lose 1/2 of my tier 3 right off the bat because of that
