Whats the scariest train line and train station in NYC? (Union: square, comparable)

I was on the 1 train about 3 months ago and a rat RAN ON THE TRAIN. You should have seen it. People were screaming and jumped up and stood on the seats. One guy took off running down the car. Was actually somewhat funny. Luckily it wasn't a rush hour train. I do wonder what the conductor thought when the doors opened at the next station and nearly everyone in the car ran out.
The PATH is rat free....although has its dirty stations Newport being the worst.
I have a friend that lived in JC and took path frequently. She also said there were no rats. Which begs the question: Why none on Path but in NYC's system they are a daily sight?

The Stations are cleaned overnight , and the system is cleaned on weekends at night...

LOL Now that should've been recorded on an iPhone big time!!!
I think that some are physically dangerous in that they have huge structures in the middle of the platform that people must walk single file to get around...with a passing train only inches away.
The platform of the E and M at 53rd and Lex comes to mind.
The always jammed N,Q,R at 59th and Lex is the same.
To an extent the 1,2,3 station at Broadway and 72nd is similar but with slightly wider walk-arounds.
If someone has not already fallen onto the tracks he soon will.
Stations with a wall (usually local only) through which patrons enter are safer than those with tracks on each side and entrances from large staircases in the middle.
I feel that if I am mugged I will lose my wallet and perhaps get a black eye but if I fall onto the tracks I could lose my life.

My first pick would be Canal Street, 6 train. Someone could make a good living renting oxygen, or selling filtered masks, to people waiting for their train.
My second pick would be Pacific St, R train. The rats are amazing. Once you get used to them, you can tell what riders dont normally use that station, due to their obvious disgust and fear. You will actually find yourself laughing at the 'newbs'.
I dont think either of these stations are all that dangerous when it comes to human violence - its the environment that you have to fear!
