I'd check in periodically with your specialist to see how things are going and if they have any idea where you fall on their list.

It makes a difference if you're waiting for a 1, 2, or 3 bedroom apartment.

Yep I do live in STPCV. I got a Stuy apt, Oval location. Really nice. Top floor and $2600 rent. Very happy!

You're in PCV?

Hello everyone,
I finished my move Sunday and I am so happy. My apartment is great. I am at PCV on 20th and First Ave (2bed/2bath) on the 13th floor. The apartment looks exactly like the link Susan sent me. I had very tiny issues like the doorbell not working because was painted over, the internet cable not working and the paint job in some places is a little sloppy. But maintenance came and fixed the doorbell and today they're working on the cable situation. It was hard to get hold of maintenance on the phone Monday morning, so I just walked to the Welcome Center. The grounds are so pretty and decorated for fall and Halloween. My neighbors are elderly and super quiet. Everyone in the building is super friendly. And my added bonus is a Freedom Tower view from my living room and an Empire State view from my bedroom window. My commute is heaven now. No more drama with the Queens Blvd. corridor. Now instead of a 45min commute, I have a 25 min commute.
I feel SO BLESSED. Again I will be eternally thankful for this forum for the messages exchanges and the friendships.

Talking Congrats to everyone who moved into their new home!

Good morning! It has been a few weeks but I finally moved into my beautiful home in Stuytown; I have a beautifully renovated 2 bedroom unit with gorgeous east river views from my bedroom window, and I am in love! This will definitely be my forever home, lol! With my birthday in 4 days, I couldn't ask better gift! For reference, my log is #69xx, and I started my journey in late June.

I contacted my specialist to follow up and she responded back and asked me to submit documents for a 1bd apt. My log is 2xxx. So we’ll see how this process goes! I grew up in the LES and went to High School across from Stuytown so to come back to the neighborhood would be amazing!

I'm in the same boat as you- but I think that's the case for 1 bedroom. They seem to still be working on 1500s or so. The two bedrooms seem to be in much higher lottery numbers. Not a lot of movement with 1 bedrooms.

How do the rent get match with the apartment? I keep receiving an answer that when they find unit that match my income?? Isn’t the rent goes by income and when apartment is finished it’s offered to one by the amount they can afford? I am so lost in this process already been waiting for an offer since Aug 30th. The max rent I can pay is $2200 I don’t understand why my log takes so long ?! Please someone put some sense in to this for me.
