Hi Y'all,
Just want to verify the 35%. Is it correct to say that stuytown counts the 35% of your gross income if you are employed? Or is it the net if you are employed? thanks!

If you are employed and get paid on a W2 form, then your gross pay is what counts. If you are a freelancer and receive 1099s from people who purchased your goods and services, then your net is what counts.

Thanks so much for getting back to me! Congrats on getting the apt and getting ready to move in! I spoke to Syed recently (although he’s not my specialist) and he didn’t have that much info for me but said judging by my log number I should get something…he couldn’t tell me when though and my specific specialist doesn’t usually have much information for me. I’ve called multiple times - every 2 weeks or so.

It was slow, slow, slow and then all of a sudden it was a big push to get the paperwork signed and lease started. I only had two weeks from the time they made the offer to start the lease, otherwise they said I'd have to get my documents approved again.

You should be very close!

I do think they allow you to break a lease if you receive a lottery offer but I'd confirm with them.
Hi! I posted a reply to your message just a minute ago, but it posted as a new post! Just wanted say thanks! I’m going to check the link someone else posted re lease break to double check! Congrats on moving in!!

Their system is a bit bonkers, you should hopefully be hearing soon!

Thanks. My status is also "tenant selection in process" we are 55XX and are either on the 3 bdrm list or if they honored my telephone followup in August on the 2 bdrm list. I will see if i can get more information.

anyone else on the 2 or 3 bedroom waitlist and if what are you lottery numbers. We have seen people as high as 8xxxx get selected for a 2 bedroom.

I too moved in last week, (1 bdrm log 1672) upper floor on 20th & C in PCV. Also feeling so very blessed to be here, literally a life long dream come true. I am still pinching myself! Amazing view of downtown & freedom tower from all of my windows, and view of east river from living room. and I cannot fully express how AMAZING everyone has been. This is truly a community! I practically furnished my apartment from the Buy Nothing page! I have everything I need to function and settle in as I make the place my own. And people are happy to help!

A few things that may be helpful to others who may get an offer and be moving in. I had arranged to pick up the keys from public safety after hours (5:30)..but they didn't have my keys. They directed me to resident services, but they didn't have my keys. They directed me to the Welcome Center, where I was told that they had not yet brought the keys to public safety. So spare yourself, go to Welcome Center on First Ave just north of 14th street. Also, it appears the "smart pick up" of keys is actually not yet available as an option.

I cannot wait for our meet up to put names to faces. I have gone ahead and started a new thread for those who have moved in...and hope I can invite other to it? Its called STPCV LOTTERY RECIPIENTS. Hope it is useful!

Continued best wishes to those still waiting...there's still time!

Congrats that such wonderful news
