We did not get the under cabinets lights in our Essex model for $1000.00. We will also install that later if needed. However you can by very inexpensive under cabinets light. There is a cabinet/granite counter top business on route 1 in edison next to the asian restaurant Shanghia that has all of the granite counter tops that summerfields offer including the two standard counters. The standard there was $40/sq foot and the expensive ones were $45/sq foot installed. I took them list with my upgrades that include a drawing of my kitchen with measurement. I was able to get a price for even the 7000k counter for 1900 installed. So I decided to the standard and have it replaced once I move in.

Are you sure Yogesh, premium is 35k?
I was told 30k, may be they increased,
Like other models. There r only 3 walk
Out lots left...one is being made for quick
Delivery...

Can't they make Essex or Sussex , why
Only Mercer?

GTG007:
The price of $35k was quoted last December. In fact it was printed on the lot map and there were 5-6 lots were shown. They have quoted for Mercer model only because the house models match with the lot sizes (Mercer require slightly bigger lot) and to push people to buy higher end Mercer model. The price of $30-35k will change depending upon market conditions.

We were also interested in having walkout basement, as the current one looks like solitary confinement. However, it would have cost $482K (Mercer) + $35k = $517K. Then by adding $15k extra, one can also get either Somerset or Sussex (master bedroom on 1st floor + 3.5 baths) for $532k.

In Bergen, there is only one wash basin/sink for the 2nd full bath (Mercer has two). Similarly Mercer has two walkin closets, while Bergen has only one full and one half. That way a buyer can always think of purchasing a higher model.

The breakfast nook (a mini sunroom or morning room or green room) in the backside is offered only in Essex, Somerset and Sussex models, but not in Mercer. I do not know why.

Since all the houses have slope in the background, builder could have provided walkout basement for all the homes.
