Hey, I came all the way from our place in Tennessee, to attend this birthday party! Happy Birthday, Sheena! The evening is still young yet, and I brought some goodies, so let's get started!
Huckleberry wine...tasty stuff...we grow those berries down here in TN. And raspberry cheesecake, homemade with chocolate sauce topping! Fresh cornbread served hot with the butter melting! Don't y'all just love southern cooking??
And remember, you're only ONE DAY OLDER than you were yesterday!

I'm lovin' that huckleberry wing and fresh cork bread with way too much butter! Saving that wonderful cheese cake for tomorrow - even I can only eat so much cheese cake in one day, but yours sounds extra special.
I like that saying "only one day older". Good one!
Good to see you all gathering here in this friendly place.
Sheena likes honey so in honor of her birthday I baked these individual honey custards made with Mayan honey from stingless bees and Mexican vanilla and cinnamon. https://www.healthymummy.com/recipe/...honey-custard/ Since we're celebrating I think we can pile clouds of whipped cream on top if you want.
And since it's Fall, I've decorated each with a Day of the Dead sugar skull. There are extras for those of you who have grandchildren.
Thanks, Country, for providing a place of good cheer.
That sounds absolutely scrumptious! You are right, I love honey! I must love your posts too, because I attempted to send you a "thank you rep", but I was told that I need to spread the love around.
I'll do that, and rep you soon. You know I'm good for it.
PS I love the whole sugar scull Day of the Dead motif, and whipped cream? Too much is never enough!
Happy Birthday, Sheena! I cancelled a transcontinental schlep, at the last moment, when Country told me about your shindig! ...copter was almost at the East Hampton airport... but we PIVOTED in mid-air (why do I feel, sometimes, like a dragonfly?), and so here we are! Our brief time in Great Neck, resulted in the discovery of a great Kosher chef, whose creations are not as Keto as I personally need. But she (a displaced Long Island homemaker) has a genius for the same sort of concentrated and complex flavors at which you excel.
She was preparing for a house party not far from here, and has been set up in the home's Chef's Kitchen, with her FOOD DRYERS going, for days. Don't worry about the people for whom the food was intended. Stuff can be sent up from Greenwich, and they won't know the difference. (besides: I've saved them from financial Armageddon, more than once: they owe me) Here comes her van, bearing hors d'oeuvres only you, with your exquisite sensibilities, are fully capable of appreciating. Expect crispy, ephemeral delights, full of intense fruit/vegetable/wine flavors which will have you crossing your eyes, they're so vibrant - the drying concentrates things, and she has that genius for creating super-thin constructions, with just the right textures.
Nobody but you, our wonderful Sheena, has the sensory capabilities for fully appreciating these culinary miracles.
Oooooh! And you're looking so wonderful! EVERYBODY is looking great! Let's circulate, together! A waiter can follow us with a tray of hors d'oeuvres, as we navigate the party...
Great Neck? I spent the first three years of my life in Great Neck - which was "West Egg" in F. Scott Fitzgerald's "The Great Gatsby". and I was baptized in All Saints Episcopal Church!
Thank you so much for changing your plans for me! The miniature potato knishes are DIVINE! Come on! You can have just one!
Wow! What a fun birthday Sheena! Sorry I missed the celebration and delicious food. You should continue to celebrate through the week with the leftover treats. This absent minded friend is going to observe your day with a chocolate cheesecake cupcake. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHEENA!!!!

Never too late, in my book. I celebrate the entire month of October, culminating in Halloween.
