Rewatching Casino from 1995. Great movie & acting & the 60s kitsch is gloriously gaudy. Haven't seen it in 10-yrs. I can't believe how young everyone looks. Geesh, I'm getting old...
Point Break - I heard there was a remake coming soon so I wanted to see the original again. My first thought was 'why do they keep remaking movies?' and now, after re-watching it... I think the acting in this movie is so bad I can see why!

One of the reasons why they keep remaking movies is that they already own the rights to the story. Hence, they don't have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars or more, don't have to use up the budget on that particular item.
Even if they don't own the rights, it is probably easier, cheaper to buy it from a production company than from the original creator.
"Locke"--watched it yesterday on Amazon (free with Prime).
I thought it was unusual and I did find it interesting. Many reviews are at one extreme or the other; i.e., 'brilliant' or terrible--each to their own.

^ That's in my queue.
My last, on TCM: To Kill A Mockingbird (1962).
In Bennett Miller's Capote (2005), the author of TKaM, Harper Lee, is Capote's assistant when he researched his book (and movie) In Cold Blood. She was played by Catherine Keener and gave an excellent performance. Philip Seymour Hoffman? One of his best performances. Quite a story. I was kind of out of it after watching his Foxcatcher. But after seeing Capote, I gained a better appreciation for his film style, and Foxcatcher moved up a notch or two.
A Walk Among The Tombstones with Liam Neeson -- stupid, cheesy, and manipulative ... this could've been titled "Taken 2.5" with Liam channeling his inner Sam Spade. Don't waste your time with this.

Ugh! Yeah, that looked like a clunker. Liam is such a good actor & I can't recall a good movie I've seen him in (or skipped because I felt it would be awful) in a decade. The same thing happened with a bunch of other good actors, imho, who suddenly began taking either horror or action roles in bad or uninteresting films, no doubt for the paycheck. Can't blame them, we all have bills to pay, but if I take a bad job it doesn't cost them $12 & 2-hrs of their time.
