It's almost entirely done from the leading lady's point of view. It starts off slow, but it soon dawned on me that this was a pretty good way of watching a flick, seeing it through essentially one's person's eyes, by the glasses she wears. It gets really wild since I watch flicks with subtitles (if I can) and when I hit the info button on the remote.
I'll probably have nightmares from it......if I didn't have such a powerful fantasy life.
Sci Fi wise, it's a little like SEARCH (1973), but this is strictly a horror flick. I picked it out of a stack in my house, bought from a $ store buying spree, because it looked like sci fi. Oh, well. One I start a flick I RARELY stop watching it.
Last night my wife and I watched Official Secrets, a movie that came out last year about the lies used to support the invasion of Iraq.
It was very good. I was paying close attention to the lead-up to the war and I didn't remember this part of it. Watching the movie provides an explanation for why that was.
Not the last one I watched, but a couple of weeks ago my wife and I watched Hamilton. You may have heard of it. (I actually heard of it many years ago because my son worked on it when it was a project at New York Stage and Film in Poughkeepsie one summer.)
We watched it with my son and daughter-in-law, who asked my son, "Does your father like musicals?" To which he replied, accurately, "I doubt it."
It was a musical but it could have been worse. I do think they did a pretty good job of presenting the stage presentation on the screen.
