Just watched the "Departed" on a flight over the weekend. The one from 2016 with Jack Nickleson and other great actors.
What a great movie it was with several plot twists. I actually came to a different conclusion on the ending after this last viewing. I think Mark Wahlberg's character was also working for the Irish Mob and he had to take care of the last rat.
The last rat besides him? Nah, I don't like that conclusion. Great movie, agreed.
It's a weird, exciting movie with twists all along the way of who to hate, who to fear for. Most movies, with my busy life, I struggle to get through the 1st 20 minutes before I decide that I will watch the rest of it later. This one, for some strange reason for it is a little "boring" at first, held my attention through out and I finished it then and there.
I saw Joker tonight. It was definitely dark and twisted. This performance was even darker and went to the Joker's roots more than Heath Ledger's performance, but wasn't as memorable as Ledger's performance in my view. This is a film that I'm glad I saw, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to see again.
