I found this channel on youtube that has all these old 70's and 80s made for tv movies, the ones they used to show on CBS & ABC. Back when TV was cool! Talk about DRAMAAAAA!!!! lol
I actually remember seeing this movie on tv when I was a kid. lol
With a high critical score, I expected it to be a much better movie than it was. Aside from Christopher Plummer, who was terrific, as he always is, I didn't care for the casting, either.
After the first time I saw "Night/Evelyn/Grave", I went on a buying spree for Anthony Steffen and this was one of the flicks from it. It's a fun spaghetti western with lots of gun play and bodies.......guns that never run out of bullets, shots that ring true the first time, the slowest guns in the west, things like that. A nice fun western!
This was really good, I watched it last night. A movie about teenage suicide and how unresolved issues can affect and destroy entire families, and the lives of those left behind.
Compared to a modern day (80s) Romeo and Juliet.
Great acting, and casting, too. Paul Sorvino, Ellen Burstyn, Marsha Mason, Molly Ringwald, "Billy" from Gremlins, River Phoenix (RIP) and the little girl from Poltergeist.(RIP)
*I'd recommend this to parents, teenagers, or anyone struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts. PG-13
I rewatched Pauline at the Beach (1983). Subtitles (set in France). Lots of conversation about love and relationships. The real reason I like it is because of the setting and beautiful scenery. I like watching movies like this because it makes me feel like I've gone on a (in this case) French vacation.
