A wonderful cowboy movie where the stranger bands together the oppressed and outcasts to defeat the evil robber baron......and the cowboys ride off into the sunset. A 9.
Tried to watch "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" and didn't finish it. Just didn't hold my interest and for almost 3 hrs it was way too long. But otherwise, typical Tarantino.
Just saw Drumline (2002) today on TV. Hadn't seen it since it came out. It's still a wonderful coming-of-age story and the marching band scenes are absolutely terrific.
Bought “The Last Detail” on Amazon
Loved it as much as first time we saw it almost 40+ years ago
Quaid and Nicholson both won Oscars
Hal Ashby directed
Bought this almost 2 years ago on an Amazon suggestion. I see why now as it was of Norway origin and some of the flicks I was buying then were from similar.
I made the mistake of assuming this flick was a ghost story of some kind, so I am 2/3rds through it, wondering when that is going to start up, but that wasn't the story at all. It is all drama, with scenarios I am familiar with in my professional world (one of them), beautiful scenery, a great house, a relaxed approach to life. Lots of lingerie, harsh language, and explicit sex.....for an otherwise non R rated movie. It's not the up close and personal kind but one has no doubt to what they are doing.
