My husband had never seen Lawrence of Arabia and we watched it over the past 2 nights. I originally saw it in NYC in a theater with a humongous panoramic screen. The blue of Peter O’Toole’s eyes were mesmerizing. Still, on a large TV screen, the movie still looked good.
Great story, beautifully shot and acted—now that’s a movie!
One of the top 50 I think
The bleakness of crossing the hard pan and then having to kill the Arab he risked his life to save…
But also goes to show the current state of affairs in the MidEast with basically the same situation of warring tribes based on religious ideology
On Tubi (free) British film The Sweeney slang for Flying Squad in Cockney
Ray Winston, Plan B who is a British hip-hop singer (but who is very good in this), Allan Leech (Downton Abbey), Haley Atwell, and Damien Lewis
Remake of earlier film about a ba—s to the wall police detective who goes hard after crooks and makes a big mistake that gets him suspended—-but he still won’t stop
Very good action with several robberies and a running gun fight through what looks like a famous London landmark—
I just don’t know London…and several really crisp car chases…one filmed by Top Gear guys…
Need the CC because of the accents
I always enjoy Ray Winston—found it by accident—probably a 7/10–a little over the top but Winston has good energy and he and Plan B work well together

Midsommar (2019). Skip this and watch The Wicker Man (1973) instead. 6/10
Yes
Bit of letdown
