I watched “Outlaw King” on Tuesday and I really enjoyed it. It is a 2018 historical action drama film about 14 th century Scottish king Robert the Bruce during the Scottish Wars Of Independence. Yesterday, on Wednesday, I watched “Unbroken”. This is a 2014 American biographical war drama film that is based on a true story and novel. It’s about an Italian-American soldier in WWIi who is captured by the Japanese and then sent to a series of POW camps. The suffering he and the other POW’s endured was difficult to watch at times, but still, an excellent film.
It is okay as it moves along.....and Frost has some times of having the Thanksgiving Turkey beaten out of him.....but not really sure about its mystery solving capability. A 6.6.
As a horror flick goes, rather mediocre, but pretty decent for the presentation of a story to get away from it all for a weekend. That is, if in real life, one has arrived at the beach house with a box of grocery supplies for the weekend, this movie could feel rather comfortable even if it is mediocre. A 6.6.
Maybe it loses something in the translation or maybe it is the magic between Sophia and Marcello, but for the most part, a mediocre to dismal flick. Three stories. The first story is about a woman who stays out of jail for selling black market cigarettes by keep getting pregnant. She exhausts her husband but there is something very unappealing about someone who treats life so cheaply. The second is about a vain woman who cares only for herself and her possessions, even over the life of others. The third is decent especially how her cat is acting similar to Blofeld's cat in You Only Live Twice. A 4.0.
Found a packing box full of DVDs, been packed up for 9 years and this was one of the ones in it.
AND THEY ALL LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER! That is about the only way to approach this movie to get enjoyment out of it, take it out of its franchise and take it as a Saturday night sci fi flick. As such, it rates a 7.0. Inside the franchise, though, it is too cute, too childish, and grinds the teeth, pulling it down to a 6.1.
Pretty damn good! The aerial sequences, especially the dog fight, are excellent. A 8.9.
I would like to watch it. Where did you see it?
