the south korean movie parasite may be a great movie, but I wish the academy had awarded the American Oscars to an American director and an American best picture.

Many of the best movies that have been given awards in the past were made in English studios, etc.
Same with music; the Beatles music was recorded in England but won 51 grammies over the years.

When I heard that Jane Fonda presented the best picture award to a movie titled "Parasite", I thought that was totally appropriate.
