Well, that would have knocked out several other films, such as 1917 & Jojo Rabbit, who were produced by non US citizens.

I agree. I made a thread about how foreigners are taking over the movie/tv industry and was ripped to shreds over it lol

No.
Many of the best movies that have been given awards in the past were made in English studios, etc.
Same with music; the Beatles music was recorded in England but won 51 grammies over the years.
