We used to be watching the red carpet and watching what are the stars wearing. Right now I don't see them anymore as stars but political propaganda activists that soon will be replaced by silent computer images!

If it wasn't for Drudge's constant headlines I wouldn't even know the Oscars were on.
The uber-lib spouse and her friends used to have Oscar parties...but that stopped a couple years ago. The Oscars have gotten so self-righteous that no one needs it anymore. There's no comparison between Billy Crystal's happy shenanigans over a morose and sanctimonious Jimmy Kimmel. Millenials don't watch the Oscars and Hollywood is driving away the rest of us.

I never watched the whole thing because it just goes on and on, but I find it funny people come here to announce they don't watch football, or Oscars etc because of politics.

I love it -- I watch the red carpet -- the whole awards show. It hasn't changed for me.
It's all in how you choose to look at it.
Ratings will be down because TV ratings are down for everything these days.

Same way I feel about the Fox News empty suit and dresses crowd - especially Hannity and Pirro!
