Apparently even the non supporters of cutting them down say they are "stressed". I take that is they aren't in good health. Along with them not being 50+ year old trees, and the fact they are going to be planting 200 new trees, I think it will be a good compromise.

OMG, this place isn't much different than a 100 other successful barcades all around the country and even an hour away and it's not that serious. This attitude is literally why Mobile can't get and keep cool stuff.

Yes, I read that. I just want Mobile to maintain its character so I understand. I was very excited about the TIGER grant....I think it's part of the Bring Back Broad initiative which will really help beautify that area.

Yes, a grant to beautify and narrow a six lane expansive street is a good thing. How is cutting down 50 live oak trees a good thing?

Have you seen the tree commission report which dictates which trees will be felled, and why? Do you know how they will be replaced?
