I guess my family could all by lying to me, but I doubt it.

It's not a matter of "getting time off" but not being paid for shifts not worked. My cousins and uncles are all hourly workers in various low wage professions. They can take the day, but then they lose pay that could be the difference between paying rent or not.

It's not like your local gas station, McDonalds, or labor site give you paid time off.

I see. Well I mean if taking an hour or so to get a shot prevents people from being able to take a shift then that's a crappy employer. Even if you're working construction you get breaks.

Even construction? Even? Construction is a high skilled and relatively well paying profession.

We aren't talking about jobs anywhere near that level. And there are lots of crappy employers.

And despite being reminded several times, you continually harp back on only the getting the shot part and ignore the recovery period.

Oh right the getting sick after part. Well scientists should have thought about these workers when they created this vaccine.

Good God. Do you even have any idea why people do feel sick after? You don't seem to have any idea why it is a good thing to feel lousy afterwards. Incredible.

Yeah yeah I get why people feel ill after a vaccination. It's the body building protection. Not everyone feels sick after it. Are you saying that if someone didn't get sick after either shot it didn't work? Not sure what this has to do with people not having time to get it though. Schedule the shots on a day off from work. Most people don't work 7 days a week. I know you know plenty that do

Lots of low wage workers work 7 days. Not uncommon at all. Lots of small business owners do as well. Super common. And it's the day after (sometimes longer) that people would need off. So having the shot on your day off, if you're fortunate enough to have one, doesn't help.

Nah. They sit home all day watching tv. They’re freeloading off the hard working taxpayers. Didn’t you get Rupert Murdoch’s memo?

Default Moderna Files for Full Approval

Moderna has now formally begun the application process with the FDA for full approval for their Covid-19 vaccine. As a practical matter, there were already large clinical trials last year and many millions of people who've received the vaccine since - so there is no shortage of experience or data and information for people to look at. However, we continue to see certain people characterize the vaccine as "experimental" and people getting it as "guinea pigs", and a full approval will put the nail in the coffin of such specious arguments.
