Let it be known that wishing school would be more than twice a week for your kid and having a sweet 16 party right now are two very different things.

I've seen photos of people on facebook having bachelorette parties, halloween parties. Our neighbors invited us to their halloween party last weekend and we didn't go. It was mainly outdoors I could see.

And again, you just seem mad. Thats ok. You can be mad about the situation, but really - you dont need to be mad with people in a forum. They didnt do anything. We didnt cause this situation - we're all just trying to deal with it.

I am going to be unfriendly to that particular poster. He has called my thoughts of wanting school to open again as disgusting and basically called me a lazy parent. Will not be friendly towards him and he/she does need to wake up.

it just seems very hypocritical to call parents lazy for wanting school to open normally but being supportive of teachers who don't want to return.

I dont see nurses, police officers and firefighters complaining that they have to work and they have not had one break throughout any of this. I also understand there are some teachers who want to return to work, but many don't and not because they are immuno-compromised. They just want to stay home.

I think some people need to work on their own issues instead of expecting the world to cater to them - especially during a pandemic.

Risk is inherent to the job description of 'front line' workers and they are provided proper PPE for the conditions. The PPE protocol for an ED/ICU RN is rather intense.

I often agree with what you post, but you're revealing your ignorance of parenting here. Stick to other subjects.
