We are managing as best we can. I had a call with a co worker the other day who told me my kids ages are probably the worst to be dealing with during this time since they need constant interaction. I was like yep.

How are you doing?
Yes, you're in a tough spot with those ages! Still doing the virtual learning, which is time consuming, but not old enough to be independent. Having the 4-year-old is tough as well since they need activities and attention in parallel with the virtual learning.

More zoom meetings happening over here, too, but I think I'm going to keep the current schedule (2 meetings per week per kid). All is well here, we have gotten into a routine that works pretty well for us and still no cancellations from summer camp (which starts 6/22), so I'm hopeful!

What if the masks prevent herd immunity? seriously that is a possiblity making this virus last years longer.

sometimes what you think will help acctually makes the situation worse. I think herd immunity is the best way to tackle this virus.

Fact check: Herd immunity would not fully stop the spread of coronavirus

The silver lining with vampires is that they're immortal. They're a constant threat for eternity. No peak in the curve, no models to study, no vaccine or antibody races, and certainly no threat of overtaxing our healthcare infrastructure. Kind of a lot better than what we're dealing with right now.

I agree but I think most of the masks don't keep a thing out. Obviously this virus laughed at our "stay home" for 2 months edict. It is going to laugh at our little cotton masks.

No, this isn't obvious at all. Quite the opposite. The epidemiologists I follow indicate the numbers show that it helped considerably. Of course, it will take time for them to look back and do the modeling to come up with the numbers on how much it helped exactly.

sometimes what you think will help actually makes the situation worse. I think herd immunity is the best way to tackle this virus.
"Herd immunity" = Survival of the fittest...elderly and vulnerable be damned.

I never wish the virus upon anyone, but it's a bit of instant karma that PM Boris Johnson who initially was advocating for the herd immunity approach in the UK, came down with a serious case of the disease himself.

More like anyone under the age of 50 be damned. Anyone over that age is free to hide out in their homes as we are doing now. But just not drag the rest of us with them.
