Yes, of course the health care workers are now sick because a small fraction of them went to a club over a month ago and not because 100% of those health care workers work every day in a high risk environment surrounded by sick people. Yup. Makes perfect sense that it was the clubs. Brilliance. Thank you.

Yup. Exactly what happened to my friends in hospitals around Boston who are working seven days a week, including at the COVID service at a major hospital. Or the one who had to be tested after being mauled by a manic COVID-positive patient with dementia. Or the one who is the first to interview people who walk in off the street in a psychiatric admissions service.

Schools staying closed is a bummer. But I am kind of wondering if Baker will reopen everything else on the 4th.

Ya so we shut down buisness so people would not get sick only to see people who are forced not to work waiting in line for food that are not even standing 12 inches away from each other let alone 6 feet.

That is essentially a parade . This is Pretty Smart if you ask me. Those people are waiting in line at least 2 hours close to everyone. They are about 10 inches away from each other if that. This is prolonged exposure too which matters too versus saying hi to someone and walking away.

How many infected at this event?

That is pretty stupid. I sure wouldn’t want to be standing in that line and I wouldn’t want to be serving in Chelsea or all places.

Apparently the city of Boston is now giving out meals to not just children but adults as well.

what meals are they giving what service are you talking about food banks? are you talking about another service?

Ya that is stupid they should have appointments like some recreational marijuana places to at least cut down on the amount of people waiting at one time. could they deliver to all these people?

It is beyond stupid! lets have a ton of people in the city to meet in one place at the same time. Seems to me working is safer. Unless you work in a baseball stadium you would be exposed to less people then waiting in that line.

Boston public schools had been continuing to provide breakfast and lunch for kids as they did in school. Apparently that has also been given to adults to get food too.

I’m surprised they did this, seems like a lot of coordination and yes the whole spread thing is risky. But these folks can’t afford to feed their own kids I guess.

I recall in my younger days of going to Boston nightclubs. They were mobbed by young people that worked in the city during the day. Nothing has changed of what age group goes to Boston nightclubs. Young people.

Also, people in these Boston clubs are mobbed by people who work in Boston's medical fields. And Sorry, but look st how many 100s of healthcare workers who work in Boston hospitals came down positive with the virus within 2 weeks of the clubs being shut down.
One of the most ridiculous posts I've seen on City-Data in the last few weeks.
