Yeah, an N95 is overkill. I've done just fine on planes even, with a KN95 which is much more comfortable.

Walgreens was wide open when I booked my appointment a week ago.

Thanks. Maybe I'll try Walgreens next week. I've gotten all of my other vaccines at CVS, so I've just been used to going there.

I personally find that an N95 with two elastic straps behind my head is more comfortable than a KN95 that digs into my ears. I also know that a 3M-branded N95 mask is going to meet the spec. There’s no telling what you’re getting with KN95 masks from Bezos. If I’m going to wear a mask to protect myself, I want it to be effective. I look at people wearing surgical masks and shrug. Those aren’t very effective unless everyone is wearing one. They protect other people.

Yep. I got my Moderna jab at a Walgreens 11 days ago. Let the beta test begin.

If you had a COVID how soon after should you have booster if at all?

My first Covid was in January. It was about 5 days of cold/flu symptoms and a month of cough
This time around it was much shorter several days and no symptoms after.

So my PCP is now offering the fall COVID boosters as well as flu shots. I'll find out when I call, but I am assuming I won't be able to take them at the same time. Probably two weeks apart is my guess.

Anyone have any experiences?

Assuming you're "normal" as far as pre-existing conditions, you should be able to get both at the same time. I did.

I tested positive on September 9, though I was asymptomatic enough to be playing singles tennis. My doctor advises against getting boosted for 3-4 months.
