Just responding to the posts of being in the teens and 20's, we haven't been that high most of this winter.

Current forecasts put the freezing rain and sleet(I call it Fleezy Lain)more likely for central to northern coastal Washington County around Machias to Eastport. I hate snow blowing really wet snow.

But Accu weather says it will all turn to rain pretty far inland from the coast from Augusta north.

That's caused by global warming, you know.

Here, in Aurora, Maine, 33℉/0.56℃, Dew Point 21℉/-6.11℃, Winds South 13mph/20.92kph
Partly Cloudy... Snow accumulations around a foot (blew quite a bit so, it was hard to get an accurate reading).

Sitting here enjoying the view of the Birch Meadows this afternoon...It's a Blizzard day off (God bless our employer)! Thankful it wasn't a storm like we had on February 13, 2017, when we had to dig out of two and a half feet of snow and drifts of four to five feet high!
We left work yesterday afternoon and by the time we were on Route 9 (Airline Road), we had to use four-wheel drive (4-6" accumulation on the road)...We usually have fewer snowplows (rumor has it they send them to Augusta when we have big storms up here), which actually make travel easier (due to the stupid use of rock salt)!
Upon safely arriving home, we had a nice hot Toddy and slipped off to bed!
Oh! Did I mention, our electricity stayed on? Miraculous!

Thankful this storm was much less than predicted and it once again gracefully draped the Birch Meadows in beauty!

Here, In Aurora, Maine, 40℉/4.44℃, Dew Point 11℉/-11.67℃, Winds North 7MPH - Clear

Sunny, brilliant, blue skies, slowly absorbed the snow today and released it into the thirsty ground, longing to be filled...
Watched the shadows deepen across the Birch Meadows as the sun set. With still a half a foot of snow clinging to her, she slowly faded into darkness and was embraced by fulfillment and gratitude...
Sleep well, Friends, in the joy that has yet unfolded into tomorrow!

Just heard some crashing and banging and the motion detector light went on out back. I shined my flashlight out there and it was my trash can heading for Silver Lake. This afternoon about 1 PM it went from sunshine and 45 degrees to a howling wind and snow pellets with 25 degrees in 20 minutes. Visibility went down to less than 1/4 mile and we got an inch of snow. The wind is still howling.
