The Renaissance project is dead. Honestly, I'm not surprised. It was very ambitious to start with and a few blocks from where all previous efforts have been focused. The given reason was added unknown contamination of soil in the area, but one has to wonder if the planners used it as an easy out option as the pollution issue could be handled if they really wanted to proceed.
It will be interesting to see what happens to that section of riverfront land now...
