Hi scorpio78. My status is still active. According to the cc rep i talked to today thats good. She said if your inactive then their not interested in you. Just have to wait little longer. Congrats to you.

No offense and maybe she was confused but that seems like a lot of misinformation. Mine has been blank since I applied and by that logic I wouldn't have even been drug tested or called in for a dept interview... It has always been blank in fact and I see many people here who haven't been drug tested that still have an open status.. So something just doesn't seem entirely right about that.

Like others I was told to expect an email in September and that would actually be the only email correspondence I have had since I applied.. I was called in for both the drug test and the interview and my drug test was the DAY AFTER my dept interview... With that timing I wouldn't think they would have lost interest especially since my app has never been anything other than blank. Time will tell though.

My Wife had her App in from the 1st day online. She went thought all their process show'ed up for all the interviews. We moved back to Michigan just to wait to see if she would get hired in. She even had to go into the last Interview in April had to fly back down. she did the test for her hair to see if she had Drugs nothing Clean. last week she looked online to see her App was still Active.

Do Not get your Hopes up if your Active Just today she got a Letter in the Mail telling Her she isn't getting a Job for No Reason at All...

Another BS Co. Just like the Encore lead you on till the last min. then your done. a Waste of time.

im not happy the way both the Encore and City Center gose thought their Hiring Process its like a Big Hip and they go thought alot of BS to make you think your in line to get Hire'd BIG FOOL!!!!

i was told when we visit in April they will not open some of the places there. in City Center will not open.

Casino will open but i know they will not hire everyone that has a App in.. i was told that some of the other propertys will just move some of their workers in like they Wynn did for the Encore.

They took 1/2 the works from the Wynn to move over to the Encore to just hire a hand full of people that hand new apps in.

Same Rule will happen to City Center it will cut the cost for new Hires... Just Business People..


They don't care if you need a Job or not. they will fill in the spot the Cheaps way. They will Cut Cost. with moving over the people from the other propertys they will save money and jobs cuts.

But when the Wynn did it they moved over people and Cut Jobs too and saved more Money remember the white and blue collar jobs that was cut.

Them people lost their jobs for some of the new hires at the Encore they money he got for Letting them go paid for the new hires.. Like bring even.

Latest news: information update! I had my 2nd department interview
for: Room Service Server. The Manager: (John) ie: from the Bellagio,
said he was going to be the new Manager at Aria. Job offers won't be
until after: September 15th! They are behind in the hiring process at
the city center also. Training for Room Service begins: December 5th
: Aria opens December 15th, so I am pretty sure that: orientation will
probally be in October/November, Uniforms, Paperwork, etc. The
manager also asked me what shift I wanted to work! I was going to
him my resume' and he said that it was o.k.: don't worry I will give
you a job because you have alot of experience in the area's in which
I need, and are willing to assume other duties, outside of your job
- position ie: willing to step down. (That) is what he liked about me.
Some people are dead-set on a particular job not willing to do other
employee's job if needed. (On) Cruise ships: many people know how
to do 3, 4, or 5 jobs like, : Waiter, Busperson, Cocktail Waiter,
Hostperson, Housekeeper, and Galley Assistant: and have to fill-in for
other who simply walk off the ship! (Aria) is also booked up 100% from
December to July 2010!!!! That speaks for itself.

where did you get your source from... #1 Aria is not booked till July 2010... they set aside a VERY small block of rooms that they felt were guaranteed to be ready.. Once it gets closer, then they will open more blocks....
As to Lvrockstar's post - you are absolutely correct. What they are doing is moving alot of people from the other property's to cut costs... Out of 10,000 positions, my guess is only a couple thousand are going to new apps... It is like the hook, line, sinker technique. Ask anyone that works at mirage on how they move the people around. Besides if they told people that are still waiting, forget it.. imagine the bad publicity.

Sorry folks, but you have a better chance of winning at blackjack then working at CC.... And yes my application still says active also!

congrats to you Joieboy! I called the CC rep today for my status. He said they will be giving out job offers middle of Sept. like you said and everything looks good to just hang in there and don't worry about it. I told him I was concerned because I still didnt get the invite for the drug testing and alot of people already got drug tested and he said not to worry because that is just another step. And that some people who already had a first interview/drug tested and not all will be considered. yes and he did say there was alot of internal things we dont know about. We all just have to wait!
