You're not missing anything. Fremont street is rundown and it sucks. You will have a much better time on the strip. Staying at Bill's, you will be right in the center of all the action.

Yellow Snow is correct for the simple fact you do not have to run around all over the strip finding special. Fremont St. is easy to get around on walking. You just have to do some timing of their specials I got steak and lobster for $11.99 but that as only from 9:00PM to 11:00PM. The prime rib special was from 6:30 Pm to 8:30PM so plan accordingly. There are many other specials so get on the net and check it out. If you make some money you can go to Oscars Booze Beer and Broads a bit pricy but I have heard great food. Great free entertainment 3 bands playing and many interesting people hanging around.lol. Easy parking I parked at Main St casino and took the overhead walkway to the California and down the escalator to Fremont st. I made good money at the D and enjoyed the dancing girls at the Golden gate. Hope you try it out next time.

Thanks for all the tips! We are going from Mon-Thurs of this coming week, so I will let all you guys know how it turns out! But we are really looking forward to it. And with the room and food deals we have found, looks like the food and room will run us about 250...leaving a nice amount for the drinks and gambling budget. $20 is a lot of $2 margaritas...even if they did used to be $1!

More like the cost of ingredients caused them to raise prices.
