The time was actually fine, as we wanted to not only gamble but also have a chance to look around Vegas and poke through all the casinos and see which ones we like the best, as it was my fiancee's first trip to Vegas. The Encore/Wynn ended up being the favorites...I love the red in the casino at Encore. But the issue wasn't the time of day. I was on a review site and the issue I had with them saying "there is nothing we can do" was repeated in more than one review. I know I am getting a good price and I am not expecting the Ritz...but a shower that drains does feel like a reasonable amenity in a room, no matter the price. Not there. I was really floored when I was told that because we were getting a discount, there was nothing she could do. We gambled at Paris that night.

Why didn't you ask to speak to a supervisor?

There wasn't one available. I asked multiple times and was told that as it was after 7pm, the supervisor was gone until 10:30 the next am. I got the name of the person I talked to and the name of the supervisor. I have called twice, but keep getting told the supervisor is unavailable.

That's ridiculous. I don't blame you for being ticked off. Maybe you should have continued to shower and when it flooded the room, then maybe someone may have answered the plea for a fix.

Wish I had thought of that, as within 2 minutes it was ankle deep, only would have taken 10 or so to get it coming out over the sides. I was just astounded by the response of "as you are already getting a discount, there's nothing I can do". What does a discount have to do with a shower that isn't draining? Or anything else in the hotel, for that matter. We all know they gave us the better room to get us to spend our time IN the hotel, in the casino or ordering room service while enjoying our room, and it isn't like they kicked someone out in order to give us their room...yes we loved the view, but it shouldn't have meant we had to shut up about everything else the rest of the trip. I can see it if I was asking for a comp in the casino, or free stuff of some other kind, but the expectations I have for ANY hotel is that the shower is in working condition, no matter how much I paid. Seriously considering a credit card dispute, as the room with a non working shower was NOT what I paid for, and the hotel did refuse to do anything. It was a shame, actually, as we both loved the room, the location, and the stained glass window in the shower was so great as we could open it and get fresh air (and we were on the 4th floor, so not really any car exhaust or anything) but once this happened, it really left a bad taste and a reluctance to go back to the hotel. As I said, after this, instead of staying in their casino, we went to the Paris for our last gaming night.

Isn't that the norm for hotel rooms in LV lol. Never had a shower yet that drained correct in any place I stayed in. I thought it as a standard thing or a foot wash feature. Darn I thought I got a perk. So much for that.lol
