Have you heard of the New Jersey Left? Or the New Jersey U-turn? The left consists of making a right before the intersection onto a ramp that goes into the street that you want to make a left on, simply merging, but you still wait at the light...its also called a jughandle, its hard to explain...the U-turn is the same way you make a right onto a ramp and then end up at a light that you make a left at...

Then there's the Pennsylvania left, where the ramp is after the intersection and you go through the light twice

They make sense since you don't have to fight to go across lanes of traffic and it allows the signals to flow better, but they don't have it at every intersection and they don't warn you far in advance, so it gets too confusing...

Why do people come here knowing that the major industry is gambling then get all upset when they actually see gambling going on? And why do they think their kids are being corrupted by seeing gambling going on? Most of the kids that I know who grew up here, including my own, are jaded by it and it has no effect on them at all. Except that, like most locals, they get cocky about living in the most exciting and progressive city in the world. reminds me of several years ago when a preacher came to Las Vegas and thought he could get rid of gambling. Why not just stay in Podunk or go somewhere else? Why do they come here in the first place and bother us? We don't need that crap.

U-turns were mentioned earlier. I forgot that there are states that don't allow them.

What the he** is a proper boulevard turn?

BTW: I don't think Nevada is the only state that allows U-turns unless specifically prohibited at certain corners.

If those roads weren't divided there would be a lot of headon colisions like in those states, mostly back east, where the roads aren't divided.

Cab drivers all belong in jail. Even I can't believe some of the stunts they pull on The Strip.

Driving in New Jersey was the most confusing and irritating place I've ever been. No wonder they're all so cranky and go around whacking people all the time.

7. If you are coming from MI eat your fill of Olga's, Coney Dogs, Bumpy Cake, and Sauders hot fudge before you come. You won't find any of that out here.
It's so funny you say that! When I was growing up in Michigan my favorite cake in the world was a Saunders Bumpy Cake. Then in Nevada there weren't any! Every time we went home to visit we would try to remember to get a bumpy cake. They are the best!

In my 10 years there the only thing I ever had was ants. And they would only come around once a year, when the weather started warming up for summer. One visit from the pest control man and they wouldn't be seen again until a year later. No other bugs were ever a problem.
