None of the above. I'm not sure if Kirby was a surname, first name, or nickname, but it was part of the business name.

I had never heard of Kirby Bowl, nor that there was a bowling alley at that location. I wonder if it was torn down to make way for Moody, or if the building was remodeled.

Good question. I thought someone brought up before when we had a discussion of the bowling alley locations in Independence that there was a bowling alley at that location at one time. They did not give the name, though.
