You are correct! (Oh, and you get extra point for the green lettering!)

So.....technically I was partially correct!

I know that building, one block west of the old Kroger on the north side. But I'm confused about this answer, I think?!?

The address given would place this on the south side, where Aldi's now sits. Please elaborate.

Damn I knew that place looked familiar and indeed, it was across 23rd from Alton Plaza (11720) at 11605 E. 23rd. Probably was in there several times.

If one Google Maps "Independence Mo" and doesn't zoom in too far, you can see the dotted city limits line which includes the area near the Mall as you indicate. So what would happen if there was a shoplifting in the NE corner of Jones? Curious legal minds want to know !

I can also see that portion that dips south along Crysler and Norfleet that housed many of my Raytown school district classmates, as well as the southernmost point along Lee's Summit Rd down to Little Blue River.

There were points along a few blocks of E. 51st where Raytowners either had a KC, Independence or Raytown PO address.

I was correct in the fact that it formally housed a truck accessories shop. (Hey, I at least I got it half right)

Clearly I was wrong about which side Savage's was on. Thank you for clearing that up. I stand corrected...again!!!!

I had to memorize the city limits, especially along 40 Highway, as KC would often try to give us their calls. A shoplifter at Jones was never a problem for us. There were no exits from Jones within the Independence section. Technically it isn't shoplifting until you leave the store without paying. Since the only exits were in KC it was their call.

I also stand corrected while correcting you. The S&H shop was further west, where Walgreen's now stands, unless my feeble memory has gotten feebler!
